Can-C NAC Drops

Can-C™ eye drops are formulated for the lubrication of the eyes and the control of cataracts. Can-C™ is the original, high purity and tested brand for effectively delivering N-Acetylcarnosine into the eyes.

Can-C drops deliver N-acetylcarnosine (NAC) into the eye’s aqueous humour, where it acts as an antioxidant, protecting structural lens proteins from free radical oxidation. Can-C™ contains a unique form of N-acetylcarnosine which has been shown in animal and clinical trials to help reduce, slow and even reverse the occurrence of senile cataracts. It may also help to lower the intraocular pressure associated with glaucoma. Other benefits include relief from dry eye syndrome, computer eye strain and success in the fight against retinal diseases and much more.

Can-C™ NAC Drops is a sterile lubricant eye drop solution formulated to moisturise, lubricate, and soothe the surface of the eye. The formula works through two active lubricant ingredients — glycerin and carboxymethylcellulose sodium — which together provide the moisturising and lubricating action that defines this product’s function as a topical eye drop.
Glycerin (1%) is a well-established ophthalmic lubricant that works by drawing and retaining moisture at the surface of the eye, forming a hydrating film over the corneal surface that supplements the eye’s natural tear film. Carboxymethylcellulose sodium (0.3%) is a cellulose-derived polymer widely used in lubricant eye drops for its ability to mimic the viscosity and consistency of natural tears, helping the lubricating film adhere to and spread evenly across the ocular surface.

The formula is buffered to a physiologically appropriate pH of 6.7 to 6.9 using borate and potassium bicarbonate, ensuring the drops are comfortable and well-tolerated on application. The sterile, buffered solution is produced under cGMP pharmaceutical manufacturing conditions and formulated for compatibility with the delicate tissues of the eye.
Can-C™ NAC Drops also contains N-acetylcarnosine (NAC) at 1% — a naturally occurring antioxidant compound and analogue of the dipeptide carnosine — as part of the formulation. Purified benzyl alcohol is included as a preservative to maintain the sterility of the solution throughout the product’s in-use period.
